Custom bar was conceptualized to fit under the stairs to make use of otherwise wasted space. Shelves under the treads and risers add a quirky touch to the bar. Dark cubbies hold your wine collection, while the cabinet which is mounted on wheels rolls out to access crawl space storage. Stemware hangs from custom made racks mounted to the final tread.
The wall in the servery area had to bumped out on account of a pipe. This allowed us to build in architectural features via recessed and back lit alcoves. See the science behind the numbers HERE.
A potential problem of the electrical box being on the same wall as the TV forced us to come up with a custom solution which involves the TV mounted onto a sliding panel which when moved to the right exposes the electric panel. An interlock on the sliding device keeps the panel locked in position.
